After a year of the coronavirus outbreak, summer travel is returning with more ambitious plans for all the travelers.
People around the world are looking to finally get out and about this summer and interest in well-known and new emerging getaway spots, culture, food and new experiences is rising along with temperatures, according to travel companies. Travel searches are surging, and bookings aren’t far behind:
One-third of Americans are planning to go away for vacation this summer, and more than half who plan to do so say they will travel at least 500 miles away from home. Thirty-four percent of Americans say they plan to go away for vacation this summer, while 63% will not. More than half (56%) of Europeans intend to travel this summer with the vast majority choosing to stay within the continent.
